BANK Windhoek will be hosting its third online agriculture series tomorrow under the theme ‘Creating a Green Agriculture Economy in Namibia’.

The agriculture minister, Calle Schlettwein, will be speaking at the event, during the second session on policy direction to attract new investments in agriculture, as well as on how green hydrogen initiatives could support a green agriculture economy.

The event will also be attended by other guest speakers, such as Vetumbuavi Mungunda, who is the founder of Ombu Capital. He will be sharing insights on the rural economy for inclusive and sustainable recovery.

Guests

Fidelis Mwazi, the chief executive officer of the Namibian Agronomic Board, is expected to highlight key pointers on export diversification, enabled by standards and good practices, and the current landscape in Namibia.

Charles Mambadzo, a horticulturalist and project manager at Eden Greenfields Investments CC, will also share his knowledge and expertise. Jacquiline Pack, Bank Windhoek’s executive officer of marketing, said the series brings together key experts in the agriculture sector to create awareness and engagement on topical issues impacting the sector.

“Furthermore, our objectives are to effect positive change in the community and propel the necessary growth, as outlined in our national development priorities and Harambee Prosperity Plan,” said Pack.
