At GreenTech Amsterdam 2026, the Group will present BIORETE® AIR PLUS and its agro-textile solutions to support growers in the physical protection of crops, in line with increasingly stringent integrated pest management protocols.

The increasing pressure of insect pests in open-field conditions, combined with the evolution of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols and the progressive reduction in the use of chemical-based plant protection products, is imposing new protection strategies for seed crops. In this context, Arrigoni Group offers agro-textile solutions designed to provide physical, preventive, and sustainable crop protection. This approach will be presented to the international audience at GreenTech Amsterdam 2026, scheduled from June 9 to 11, where the Group will showcase the BIORETE® AIR PLUS range, developed with ARLENE HT® monofilament, featuring low thickness and high tenacity, to prevent the passage of the smallest and most harmful insect species, while also promoting greater airflow thanks to the high number of holes per square meter.

The protection of vegetable crops intended for seed harvesting is today one of the most delicate challenges for the agricultural sector. In open-field conditions, the presence of insect pests and virus vectors exposes seed crops to significant risks, both in terms of crop health and final production quality. Thrips, aphids, whiteflies, and other phytophagous insects can compromise plant development through direct damage to plant tissues and, above all, through the transmission of viruses and plant diseases. In seed production, where genetic quality, seed health, and compliance with supply chain requirements are essential, even a limited pressure of vector insects can have significant consequences on production stability and the value of the harvest.

This scenario is made even more complex by the evolution of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols, which encourage strategies based on prevention, monitoring, and the prioritized use of non-chemical solutions, in line with the new European regulatory framework aimed at the sustainable use of plant protection products and the progressive reduction of chemical inputs even in open-field conditions. For vegetable seed producers, this means adopting solutions capable of ensuring effective protection against insect pests without compromising ventilation, microclimate balance, mechanical strength, and environmental sustainability.

In this context, the technologies developed by Arrigoni Group are designed to provide a physical, preventive, and sustainable response to the needs of modern integrated pest management.

BIORETE® AIR PLUS: protection, ventilation and strength for the most sensitive crops

Among the solutions developed by Arrigoni Group, BIORETE® AIR PLUS meets the needs of the most sensitive production environments, such as seed crops, with insect-proof net screens made from high-resistance yarn, thin and with very high tenacity. The range ensures effective and natural protection against even very small insects, such as thrips, as well as aphids and whiteflies—particularly insidious pests, as they can directly damage crops and transmit viruses and pathogens.

BIORETE® AIR PLUS solutions are based on the concept of Perfect Balance, an equilibrium between insect control, high ventilation, and long-lasting mechanical strength. Thanks to ARLENE HT® monofilament, the core of the range, they ensure stability, airflow, and consistent performance both in open-field conditions and in net houses, helping to limit the entry of insect pests without compromising the microclimate favorable to plant development.

«For seed crops, where production quality and plant health are essential requirements, physical protection takes on a strategic role. With BIORETE® AIR PLUS, we offer a solution capable of combining effectiveness against insects, high ventilation, and mechanical strength, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient agricultural model,” comments Patrizia Giuliani, Sales Director at Arrigoni Group.

At GreenTech Amsterdam 2026, the Arrigoni team will welcome growers, distributors, and partners at Stand 245, Hall 01, to share application experiences, present the range, and discuss the new needs in horticultural and seed crop protection.

Arrigoni Group’s international journey will then continue with GreenTech North America, scheduled for September 23–24 at the Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
