In the same year that it celebrates its 75th anniversary, South African manufacturer Pratley is gearing up to present its full range of mineral and adhesive products for the agricultural sector at NAMPO Harvest Day 2023. The event, hosted by Grain SA, will be held from May 16 to 19 at Bothaville in the Free State.
Pratley will be showcasing its products at Stands 19 and 20 in the Zest WEG Hall. “We are excited to once again connect with the farming community to showcase our well-known mineral and adhesive products,” comments Pratley Marketing Director Eldon Kruger. Pratley considers the event to be a major platform to also engage with cooperatives, wholesalers, and the public. The company recognizes agriculture and farming as significant growth markets with innovative products that are ideally suited to support this industry.
Pratley’s high performance Adhesive range includes products for general repairs, farm maintenance, and specific repairs of agricultural and mechanical equipment. Keeping agricultural equipment in top running condition is a priority for farmers, as any downtime due to a lack of maintenance can significantly impact productivity. Pratley has a wide range of products that can assist farmers in carrying out repairs quickly and cost-effectively.
Pratley’s award winning Pratlok® thread-locking adhesives can be used for the thread-locking of threaded fasteners due to their anaerobic curing feature. This means that they cure in the absence of oxygen and are applied to the threads of fasteners to prevent them from loosening. Pratley Grey RTV Silicone Gasket Maker is a flange sealant and gasket maker in the form of a tough and elastic silicone rubber for superior sealing. It can tolerate extreme temperatures of -50°C to +300°C for short periods and is resistant to diesel, paraffin, water, oil and anti-freeze.
“Pratley will also showcase its Superglue range and its established high-performance epoxy and acrylic adhesive products. Many of Pratley’s adhesives are world-first products, and we’ll demonstrate many of the features that make them ideally suited for farm maintenance applications” continues Eldon.
Pratley Minerals division will showcase Pratley Clinomix®, a registered livestock feed additive that boosts non-protein nitrogen (NPN) for ruminants while reducing odour and faecal moisture. It is also an extremely effective mycotoxin binder that improves the flowability and anti-caking of feed and alleviates acute and chronic diarrhoea and/or scouring in high-density feedlots and farms. A related product suited for the poultry market, Pratley Clinoxin®, is a registered broad-spectrum mycotoxin binder, with an ability to control mould proliferation and selectively bind mycotoxins, especially aflatoxins, in contaminated poultry houses. Additionally, it reduces ammonia levels and faecal moisture in poultry houses.
“The benefit of products such as Clinomix®and Clinoxin®is that they assist farmers in keeping their input costs as low as possible whilst increasing yields and reducing mortality rates. Both products are registered with the Department of Agriculture”, continues Kruger.
