Emile Joubert Group Business Development Leader for Hudaco’s Projects Division
The main aim of the newly-established projects division of holding company Hudaco is to create growing awareness of the broad portfolio of technologies, products, operational infrastructure, logistic capabilities and technical skills across the entire group of companies.
These are individually and collectively well-positioned to provide turnkey solutions to end users and project houses. Bearings International (BI), one of these group companies, plays an important role in Hudaco’s greater solutions value proposition. This is due to its wide product offering and extensive branch footprint to support and service its installed base on end-user sites.
“Such a capability positions BI and the other Hudaco companies as a ‘one-stop shop’ partner for project houses, taking overall accountability for the design and seamless integration of our multi-disciplinary technical offering, as opposed to being sourced from multiple vendors,” comments Emile Joubert (B.Eng, Pr.Eng, MBA), Group Business Development Leader for Hudaco’s Projects Division.
BI has the necessary product offering and technical competencies to develop client-specified engineered solutions as part of integrated turnkey projects locally and into Africa. “By creating this gateway into Africa, all our business units can benefit from the various industrial and solution applications required by fast-expanding infrastructure and development projects on the continent,” points out Joubert.
The projects division will therefore reinforce Hudaco’s African growth ambitions by leveraging synergies from the broader group portfolio and expand its value proposition and execution capability on the continent. It will unlock further growth opportunities in mining, oil and gas, renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
A team of Key Account Managers has been appointed to focus on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, and grow awareness of Hudaco’s vast product, technical knowledge, and turnkey project capabilities by working collaboratively across the group to ensure it offers the best technical and cost solution for its partners.
“Our philosophy at Hudaco is to develop and foster long-lasting customer relationships and extract synergies from within the group to provide customers with fit-for-purpose and cost-effective engineered solutions through our collaborative engagement with our customers during the decision-making process at every stage of a project,” emphasises Joubert.
Joubert joined Hudaco in July 2019, with a solid track record in the projects space, having successfully lead the completion of several multi-billion-rand Greenfield construction projects in the mining industry, as well as various brownfield expansion upgrades and shutdowns across Africa and Asia.
He completed his B.Eng Electrical and Electronic Degree in 2008, registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) in 2015, became a member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) in 2016 and completed an Executive MBA in 2020.Connect with BI on Social Media to receive the company’s latest news
