The Brazilian company will also exhibit its self-propelled sprayers of the Uniport line with nozzle-by-nozzle technology and precision agriculture tools
Having recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, the Brazilian company Jacto brings to NAMPO 2023 the most modern fertilizer spreading and spraying equipment. The highlight of this Nampo edition will be Uniport 5030 NPK fertilizer spreader.
Uniport 5030 NPK has a 5,000-kg capacity tank, up to 50-meter application width for granular fertilizers, and a 12-meter one for powder products. The fertilizer spreader has many technologies that reduce cost and lower environmental impact.
One of these technologies is the automatic 12-section control. The tool broadens the solutions available for Jacto’s portfolio of broadcast spreading, integrating the technological differentials of Uniport 5030 NPK self-propelled fertilizer spreader.
The technology allows automatically segmenting the application range into up to 12 sections. It is a system that brings fertilizer spreading an essential cost reduction with fertilizers.
The equipment minimizes overlaps when entering and leaving boundaries by individually closing and opening different sections. With this technology, the reduction in fertilizer consumption can reach 15%, representing savings for the farmer and excellent environmental protection.
The dosage to be applied can be controlled via the PrecisionWay system. This technology determines the fertilizer drop point in the disks and the shape of the blades. It distributes the inputs at the exact dosage with quality and uniformity throughout the application range.
Other technologies present in both equipment are SmartSet and boundary control. SmartSet is a software built to assist in adjusting the Uniport 5030 NPK application range. Through a website, the necessary regulation data can be obtained for various brands and types of fertilizers in four steps.
Boundary control is a system that enables reducing application errors in operations at boundaries and avoids fertilizer applications in non-desired areas, such as rows and preservation areas.
Self-propelled sprayers with precision agriculture
Jacto will also display its self-propelled sprayers of the Uniport line as Uniport 2030, 3030, and 4530 for South-African farmers.
Uniport 2030 has a 2,000-liter tank, 24-meter or 30-meter booms, and a 4×4 hydrostatic transmission, which, together with a 198 hp engine and low weight, confers this sprayer capacity to work in a wide variety of terrains with high operational performance. Besides, the ideal weight distribution between the axles allows spraying on terrains with a slope of up to 30%.
Uniport 3030 has a 3,000-liter tank, 28-meter, 32-meter, or 36-meter booms, and its nozzle-by-nozzle controllers reduce agrochemical consumption by up to 10%. Jacto designed the spray control system with nozzle-by-nozzle opening and closing, delivering more precision in applications, saving products, and consequently reducing environmental impact.
Uniport 3030 can work at speeds up to 35 km/h in spray operations and up to 55 km/h when traveling. The sprayer features the Unitrack steering system that allows working with a 35% smaller turning radius and reduces crop damage in maneuvers by up to 40%.
All models of the Uniport line are equipped with the complete technological package of the OTMIS line, Jacto’s brand for precision agriculture. Some features of the OTMIS line are the automatic pilot that automatically steers the sprayer and the automatic section control, which automatically opens and closes spray boom sections. Both technologies reduce gaps and overlaps, save agrochemicals, and lessen environmental impact.
Spray solutions for small and medium-sized farmers
During NAMPO, visitors can check the boom sprayer Condor 1200, which is ideal for small and medium-sized farmers. Featuring a 1,200-liter tank, the Condor 1200 requires fewer filling operations and enables longer hours in a workday.
Besides, Condor 1200 has a Lightbar that shows the operator the correct traveling direction and automatically shuts off spray sections where the product has already been applied, saving inputs and avoiding gaps and overlaps that impair the application quality.
Another Condor 1200 highlight is the Multicontrol system that manages the entire spray operation and ensures volume is applied correctly regardless of speed variations, reducing agrochemical use in crops.
Spray solutions for fruit growing
One of the main segments included in Jacto’s spray technologies is fruit growing. For NAMPO, Jacto will bring one of its world bestsellers, the Arbus 2000 Tower. Equipped with a tower that follows the shape and contour of the crop canopy, Arbus 2000 Tower provides a high-quality application with satisfactory droplet distribution in the entire plant. The distance between the nozzles and the plant remains constant, which enables applying the exact dosage in all strata of the crop, from the skirt to the highest branch of the canopy.
Arbus 2000 Tower also has vanes designed for more uniform air distribution. Thanks to this mechanism, each portion of the crop canopy receives the same application quality. The air carries the droplets to the plant more uniformly, ensuring better penetration results in the crop canopy.
South Africa is one of the strategic markets for the company
According to Jacto Sales Coordinator in Africa, Edson Bueno, NAMPO 2023 will be an opportunity to present South African farmers with Jacto’s leading technology solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs in crops.
