Africa AFGRI Equipment, which is part of AFGRI Group, has been appointed as the sole distributor of John Deere’s agriculture equipment in Botswana, Zimbabwe areas where AFGRI operates in, in South Africa.
The deal also includes the supply of construction and forestry equipment to the three countries.
“AFGRI Equipment are proud to be the supplier for John Deere equipment in Southern Africa. Our John Deere equipment is reliable, durable and designed to your operation going, no matter the conditions,” Africa AFGRI sales manager Ryan Berry said last week.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the Agricultural Dealers and Manufacturers Association (ADMA) agrishow held in Harare, Zimbabwe.
It is the largest agriculture show held in Zimbabwe with over 200 companies exhibiting.

John Deere will also take control of the marketing and support of its own branded equipment.
“Customers in these markets will also have access to product support through the John Deere dealer network.
“All John Deere equipment will be supported and serviced by certified technicians, who in turn, will be supported by a network of regional parts distribution centres,” the company said.
