Exhibitors, buyers, and industry leaders converge on Rwanda’s capital for the region’s anticipated feed to food event
With VIV Africa 2026 set to open its doors on 7 to 8 October at the Kigali Convention Centre, the show’s exhibitor and delegate line-up is taking shape, and it paints a clear picture of an industry converging on Rwanda’s capital to do business. Preceded by a dedicated Leadership Conference on 6 October, the fifth edition of VIV Africa brings together producers, suppliers, investors and policymakers from across the feed to food value chain.
Who’s in the room
VIV Africa has built its reputation as the meeting point for professionals working across East Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and the wider international agrifood community. Visitors include farm owners and operators, feed millers, hatchery and breeding specialists, veterinarians and animal health professionals, processors, distributors, investors and government stakeholders, all drawn by the chance to compare solutions from international and regional suppliers side by side.
That business focus is sharpened by two dedicated platforms running alongside the exhibition. The Investment & Market Access Forum connects investors and policymakers with businesses across the region, while the Hosted Buyer Program brings senior purchasing decision-makers directly to the show floor for scheduled introductions with exhibitors.
An exhibitor base spanning the full value chain
About 150 exhibitors from around the world will fill the show floor, organized across five core sectors that trace the journey from feed to food.
The Animal Health sector brings veterinary pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, vaccines and biosecurity solutions from companies including Ceva/Laprovet, Kemin Biologics, LVL Animal Health, Biovet and Innovad Group.
Breeding & Hatching exhibitors offer genetics, hatchery equipment and incubation technology, with names such as Aviagen, Hendrix Genetics, Hubbard, Novogen, Petersime and Lohmann Breeders on the floor.
Farm Production covers housing, feeding, drinking, climate control and general farm equipment, represented by suppliers including Big Dutchman, Chore-Time, Roxell, Facco, Vencomatic Group and Vostermans Ventilation.
The Feed, Ingredients & Additives sector features nutrition, premix and feed additive specialists such as Cargill, De Heus and Koudijs Animal Nutrition, Trouw Nutrition, Adisseo and Techna, while Feed & Grain Technology brings milling and processing technology from companies including Bühler, Andritz, Famsun and SCE, Silo Construction & Engineering.
A dedicated Processing and Food Engineering contingent, among them Baader Food Systems, Birds Prefer Meyn, Insta-Pro International and Duram Industries, rounds out the value chain on the downstream end. The growing Dairy Pavilion extends the show’s scope beyond poultry into broader livestock production, reflecting demand for stronger dairy production systems across the region.
Specialists across the spectrum
Within those sectors, the exhibitor list reflects just how specialized the industry has become. Incubation and hatchery specialists such as EMKA Incubators, Vet7 Incubators and Emtech Hatchery Systems sit alongside genetics and breeding houses like Hy-Line/Kenchic/Hybrid and Hastavuk.
Feed formulation and nutrition houses ranging from global players like ADM Animal Nutrition and Cargill to regional specialists such as Soproda Poultry Feed and MG2Mix Premix Nutrition will be on hand to discuss diet optimization for local conditions.
On the health side, exhibitors span everything from mycotoxin biomonitoring with Innovad Group to full matrix phytase nutrition with IFF Animal Nutrition & Health and probiotic gut health solutions from other exhibiting specialists.
Regional representation is also a defining feature of the floor. Alongside international suppliers from Europe, Asia and the Americas, exhibitors and delegates from across Sub-Saharan Africa, including Rwanda’s own poultry and agriculture sector, will be present throughout the two exhibition days. That local presence is reinforced by supporting associations such as the Rwanda Poultry Industry Association and the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, both closely involved in the show’s preparation.
Knowledge sharing runs in parallel
The exhibition days are supported by a full Technical Best Practice Seminar program, with sessions on topics ranging from drinking water-based nutrition and feed efficiency modelling to gut health and probiotic application in broiler production. These run alongside the Leadership Conference sessions on market outlook, poultry sector transformation and animal health, held the day before the show opens.
