Established in 1948 by George “Monty” Pratley, the Pratley stable of companies rests on a foundation of research and innovation in both the manufacturing and mining sectors. Drawing from over 70 years of experience, Pratley has filed over 350 patents worldwide and is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Among the operating divisions of the company are: Pratley Electricals, Adhesives, Craft and Decoupage, perlite, Zeolite, Analytical and Select Hairdressing Supplies.

However, the manufacturer, based in South Africa, is best known for its adhesives and have been leaders in the high strength adhesive market for many years. Their product that stands out the most in this regard would be the “Pratley Putty”.

The firm also has a foot in the agriculture industry with their Zeolite based agricultural products which are part of their minerals product division. Prately distributes countrywide through all the Cooperatives. They also have large farming consortiums that purchase directly from their facilities.

Exhibition in the Nampo harvest day : Pratley is set to  exhibit their complete range of high performance Pratley Adhesives in the Zest Hall at the Nampo harvest day. They will also have an additional stand in the Farm Animal section where they will be exhibiting their agricultural products. The agricultural products include the Clinomix and Clinoxin stock remedies which is mixed into cattle, sheep, pig and chicken feed. This move, according to the Marketing Manager Eldon Kruger, will go a long way towards ensuring the farmers are well aware and understand the cost savings involved when they use Pratley’s agricultural products.

He further adds that by nature, farmers will always try and keep their input costs as low as possible. As such, the onus rests on them to convince and educate them that by using Pratley agricultural products they can increase their yields, which ultimately saves them money in the long run.

Pratley envisions the creation of awareness for  farmers in South Africa on the cost savings and benefits of using a zeolite-based feed additive like Clinomix or Clinoxin. It is without a doubt the future of livestock farming.
