SokoFresh Fish Project Lead, Brenda Nambatya quotes:

“Our research goes beyond the surface, collaborating with industry experts to reveal the genuine challenges faced by small-scale fishers. Despite a fragmented supply chain, there are promising solutions that lie in collective efforts from the government and private sector. SokoFresh is trialing sub-zero cold storage to preserve fish and market linkage as-a-service to streamline transportation and connecting fishers to better markets. Our focus is to explore more opportunities that will shape an ecosystem where small-scale fishers can thrive, driving down post-catch loss, and streamlining fish production and quality.”
