Corteva, Inc. (NYSE: CTVA) has completed the spin-off of its advanced seed and genetics business and will now operate as a focused, standalone global crop protection company.

The move marks a major strategic shift for the agribusiness giant, positioning it to accelerate growth through innovation and operational efficiency.

“This is a new day for Corteva, and we couldn’t be more excited as we move forward with greater focus, agility and a renewed commitment to innovation and operational excellence,” said Corteva CEO Luke Kissam. “As the challenges facing agriculture continue to evolve, we’re ready to meet the needs of the future with the industry’s best people, portfolio and pipeline—advancing safe, effective and sustainable solutions that deliver for farmers, our channel partners and our shareholders.

”According to the company, the crop protection division enters this new chapter with strong momentum. Between 2020 and 2025, the business grew revenue by more than $1 billion while expanding operating EBITDA margins by approximately 250 basis points on a segment basis.

Key drivers behind this performance include the development of an industry-leading biologicals and natural products platform and a deliberate shift toward differentiated technologies, which now account for about 65% of total sales.

Looking ahead, Corteva will be powered by an $11 billion crop protection pipeline and its world-class R&D capabilities, including microbial discovery, integrated product development, and predictive safety platforms.

The company currently employs nearly 9,000 people and serves growers across approximately 110 countries.
