Egyptian agribusiness DALTEX Corporation has signed a strategic partnership with China-based irrigation specialist Irritech to expand access to large-scale irrigation technologies in Egypt, Algeria and Libya.
Under the agreement, DALTEX will become the exclusive seller of Irritech’s irrigation solutions in the three markets, combining its experience in agricultural project development with Irritech’s expertise in center-pivot and linear irrigation systems.
The partnership is expected to strengthen DALTEX’s irrigation portfolio by integrating advanced irrigation technologies with its existing services, which cover project design, installation, operator training and after-sales support.
“Perhaps one of the most famous Chinese sayings we all know is: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. More than 60 years ago, Daltex started its journey, and we still believe that every new step opens up wider horizons for the future,” said Tarek Nowara, Projects & Irrigation Director at DALTEX Corporation.
“Today, we are excited to announce the first steps in a new journey with Irritech, a partner full of ambition and openness to new ideas, in whom we believe to have the potential to grow and succeed,” he added.
DALTEX said it has designed irrigation systems covering more than 600,000 feddans and installed over 5,000 center pivots for more than 100 clients.
Its services span the full project lifecycle, from land evaluation and hydraulic design to installation and after-sales service. The company also maintains spare-parts inventories, trains equipment operators and conducts annual maintenance visits to help customers sustain system performance.
Irritech will complement these capabilities with irrigation systems for medium-sized farms and large agricultural operations. Its portfolio includes center-pivot and linear systems, as well as AI-enabled technologies aimed at optimizing water use and improving field performance.
The partnership forms part of DALTEX’s broader strategy to expand its agricultural technology offering through integrated equipment, project expertise and long-term technical support across the region.
