The rugby legend and former Springbok lock Kobus Wiese contributed R247 014 to the family farming network Saai to help keep family farmers on their farms.

A few rand of each cup of coffee, cappuccino and breakfast sold at a Wiesenhof coffee shop or Dulcé restaurant are donated to the fund for family farmers with which Saai creates a safer environment for farmers, assisting them in overcoming disasters like droughts and veld fires so they can feed their livestock.

The latest donation will be used to implement safety cameras in the Laingsburg district and Moordenaarskaroo, assisting local farmers in their fight against farm attacks, stock theft, copper theft and farm trespassers.

Partnerships and donations like these support families to overcome short-term challenges and keep rural areas viable. Saai and its members want to thank Wiesenhof, Dulcé, the Wiese family and all businesspeople who realise the value of family farmers and provide tangible help to keep families on their farms.
