Zimbabwe’s largest agricultural show organised under the banner Agricultural Dealers and Manufacturers Association of Zimbabwe (ADMA) is currently underway at the Borrowdale Racecourse in Harare with 200 companies exhibiting and thousands of visitors attending.

According to Marco Garizio, ADMA’s chairperson, the exhibition endeavours to offer improved and cost effective farming solutions.

“The association promotes and encourages proper standards of service and ensures that ethical trading practices are maintained in the interests of the public and its members throughout the agricultural machinery trade,” Garizio told Farmers Review Africa in an interview Friday.

“The initiative behind our agrishow is a once-a-year opportunity for industry players to interact with farmers, enabling the farming community to identify and compare products that offer cost saving advantages and concepts.

“Our farmers’ viability depends on innovative and cost-effective farming practices, irrigation and best farming practices have to be implemented in order for our farmers to succeed.”

Garizio added: “As such, the showcase event has taken off in popularity among the public and the businesses alike. In many instances, regional salespeople and technical experts come from beyond our borders to network with our farmers.”

ADMA was formed in 2015 and oversees members’ interests, takes concerted action where necessary and gives guidance to the legislator authorities on legal matters and procurement.
