You Are Invited: Her Honour W. K. Nalumango to officially open the EXHIBITION ON 2022 AU THEME OF THE YEAR
We are pleased to announce that on Wednesday 13th July 2022 Her Honour, The Vice President of the Republic of Zambia Mrs W. K Mutale Nalumango will be officiating the opening of the Exhibition on the Interpretation of African Union 2022 Theme of the Year: ‘Strengthening Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent: Strengthening Agro-Food Systems, Health and Social Protection Systems for the Acceleration of Human, Social and Economic Capital Development’. This important exhibition that positions local agro producers and suppliers to address the nutritional needs of their country and communities is one of the main highlights of and build-up to the African Union Heads of State Summit taking place in Lusaka – Zambia the 14th to the 17th of July in Lusaka, Zambia and is sanctioned by the AU ECOSOCC Secretariat.
‘This is our promise to the Zambian people. We shall create a vibrant economy with job opportunities for all, and every household will afford a nutritious meal, three times a day – Her Honour, W. K Mutale Nalumango, The Vice President of the Republic of Zambia.

Acknowledging the vital link between agriculture and nutrition, the Government of Zambia has made the pledge to implement the Food and Nutrition Act number 3 of 2020. This means Zambia’s nutrition policy will not only focus on issues of food production and availability, but will pay closer attention to broader issues of nutrition focused on a solid policy of implementation supported by a strong interest and participation from the Government and its partners.
This exhibition will provide an opportunity to enhance products and business practices and link agro producers and suppliers, both large and small.
