Chief Agri, a division of Chief Industries, Inc., will unveil three new grain-storage products at this year’s Husker Harvest Days, reflecting its commitment to delivering smarter, stronger, and more user-friendly solutions for farmers.
“We are in the process of finishing a 47,000-square-foot addition to our plant, which will make room for future innovation and to allow for operational changes that we plan to execute this year. This addition will also enable the consolidation of our Kearney, Neb., operations under one roof, greatly improving our overall manufacturing efficiency,” Mike Henderson, operations manager at Chief Agri, told Farm Progress.
At the heart of Chief Agri’s show presence is a focus on enhancing efficiency and user experience. Among the highlights are a brand-new sidewall production line. According to Henderson, this line is currently undergoing testing at its supplier and is “going to be a line that is head and shoulders above anything that we’ve had in the past.
Alongside this, attendees will be able to examine a new roof line and upgraded stiffeners—innovations already in production and available for viewing at the event.
“These enhancements have absolutely improved the effectiveness of our grain bin production. Paired with the coming sidewall line, these production lines check many boxes related to being able to produce at a high level and really be there to support our customers,” he said.
Chief Agri is also investing in equipment to boost manufacturing versatility. The company is acquiring a machine with integrated forming and punching capabilities, enabling the production of peak rings used for roof panel attachment.
“It is going to have forming and punching capability, all rolled into one package, which will improve efficiency and quality. It’s going to open some doors from a design perspective, so we can do things differently than what we’ve done in the past and make a much more user-friendly product to send to the field,” explained the operations manager.
Underlying all of Chief Agri’s developments is a clear focus on meeting both practical and financial needs of producers. The company is committed to delivering systems that preserve grain integrity, endure harsh weather, and remain cost-effective.
“Ultimately, what they will see is we are putting innovations into place that allow us to design a more efficient bin. Our products are user-friendly at their level, they’re long-lasting, and they’ll stand up to the elements,” said Henderson.
He reiterated the importance of affordability, noting, “A very important goal for us is to be cost-effective. We want to bring a product to the market that makes sense for our end users. It is a top priority for Chief to provide products, solutions and services that enhance their business.”
These new product unveilings come amid improvements to Chief Agri’s infrastructure. The ongoing expansion is intended to streamline operations and catalyze future innovation—all in service of delivering next-generation grain storage solutions under one roof.
Also adding to the momentum, Mark Kjar, president and general manager of Chief Agri, stated, “These product releases represent an exciting step in Chief Agri’s growth. We’ve made strategic investments in both our facility and our team to bring these ideas to life, and this is just the beginning of where we’re headed.”
Husker Harvest Days, held September 9-11, 2025, in Grand Island, Nebraska, is known as the nation’s largest irrigated outdoor farm show—a key showcase event for industry innovation and engagement.
Visitors can find Chief Agri’s booth at Lot 846 to explore these product enhancements and learn about the company’s expanded capabilities firsthand.
In sum, Chief Agri is leveraging new manufacturing capabilities and product innovations to deliver efficient, durable, and cost-sensitive grain storage options—an offering that both aligns with producer needs and positions the company as a forward-looking leader in agricultural solutions.
