ADM, a global leader in nutrition and agricultural supply chain solutions, has announced the opening of a new destination marketing office in Nairobi, Kenya, reinforcing its commitment to serving customers across East Africa through its global supply chain network.
Kenya, recognized as a key trade hub for food and feed ingredients and a strategic gateway to East Africa, will enable ADM to offer its customers in the region direct access to its extensive portfolio of food ingredients, feedstuffs and animal nutrition solutions. The new Nairobi presence positions ADM closer to its East African customers while linking regional supply chains to global markets, further consolidating its role as a trusted partner to the food and feed industry.
The office will focus on destination marketing functions, including market intelligence, local merchandising, storage and distribution services that connect local demand to ADM’s global origination, transportation, logistics and risk management capabilities.
“East Africa is home to more than 500 million people and represents a high-growth market with rising demand for quality food and feed ingredients and integrated supply chain solutions,” said Patrick Heijbroek, Vice President, Global Trade and Head of Origination, EMEA. “We are excited to deepen our footprint in a region experiencing significant growth in its agricultural and livestock sectors. Through our global network of destination marketing locations, we are able to connect regional demand with ADM’s worldwide origination network.”
The Nairobi office builds on ADM’s more than decade-long presence in Kenya and expands its broader footprint in Africa. It complements existing investments including human nutrition innovation laboratories in Nairobi, a distribution hub in Nigeria’s Lagos Free Zone, and enhanced flavour creation capabilities in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“The launch of our destination marketing office marks an important milestone in strengthening ADM’s presence across the continent,” said Erdal Kurban, President, Africa & Middle East and Vice President, Sales, EMEA Flavors. “Being closer to our customers allows us to better understand local market dynamics, respond more rapidly to changing needs, and connect them to ADM’s global capabilities.
”In 2025, ADM’s destination marketing volume reached nearly 31 million metric tons, underscoring the scale of its network and its ability to efficiently link supply with demand across key global markets.
