INERA Crop Science and CropNXT Solutions have entered into a multi-year, multi-million-dollar strategic partnership to combine INERA’s science-led biological agri-input portfolio with CropNXT’s robust distribution and value-chain strength across key agricultural markets in India.

The partnership is projected to unlock a business potential of around ₹500 crore, reflecting the significant market opportunity for science-led biological agricultural solutions across India.

Over the course of the partnership, INERA and CropNXT aim to reach more than 65 lakh farmers through a network of over 5,000 channel partners and retail outlets, while expanding the adoption of biological agri-inputs across approximately 20 lakh acres of cultivated land.

The partnership is built around a larger purpose: to help smallholder farmers become more profitable, climate-resilient and better equipped for the next phase of Indian agriculture.

Farmers across India are facing rising input costs, unpredictable weather, declining soil health, water stress and increasing crop vulnerability. For many smallholder farmers, climate change is no longer a future risk. It is already visible in the field through heat stress, erratic rainfall, pest pressure, yield instability and pressure on farm incomes.

The next phase of agriculture will need to balance productivity with resilience. It will need solutions that improve crop performance, protect soil health, support input efficiency and help farmers build stronger farming systems over time.

Science-led biological solutions can play an important role in this shift. By working with soil microbes, plant biology, natural nutrient cycles, and crop resilience pathways, biologicals can help improve input efficiency, strengthen crop performance, support soil vitality, and reduce stress on farming ecosystems.

For INERA and CropNXT, the opportunity is clear: to make this transition practical, profitable and accessible for smallholder farmers.

Science alone cannot transform agriculture at scale. For biological solutions to create meaningful impact, they must reach farmers through trusted networks, reliable supply, proper guidance and last-mile execution. This is where INERA and CropNXT come together.

INERA brings solutions designed to support healthier soils, stronger crops, better input efficiency and more resilient farming systems. CropNXT brings the regional reach, retailer relationships and farmer-market connectivity needed to take these solutions deeper into agricultural communities across East India.

Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha have been identified as priority markets due to their large agricultural base, extensive cultivation of paddy, maize and vegetables, and the growing need for resource-efficient farming solutions that can improve productivity while supporting long-term soil and environmental health.

Together, the two companies are creating a scalable model to take biological solutions from innovation to ground-level adoption, and from product availability to farmer practice.

The partnership combines commercial scale with a larger purpose: building a more resilient and regenerative model of farming where farmer economics, crop performance and soil health move together.

Speaking on the partnership, Agam Khare, Founder, INERA Crop Science, said: “Climate change is already visible in the fields of Indian smallholder farmers through heat stress, pest pressure and rising input costs. At INERA, we believe science-led biological solutions can help make farming more profitable, more resilient and more regenerative. This partnership with CropNXT is about taking that belief to the ground at scale. Our larger mission is to enable a regenerative agriculture movement, starting with India.”

Ajeet Singh Chahal, Founder, CropNXT Solutions Pvt. Ltd., said: “CropNXT has built its strength by creating a strong agricultural value-chain ecosystem across East India. This partnership allows us to bring a differentiated biological agri-input portfolio to our farmer and channel network: science-led, sustainable solutions that are relevant today and essential for the future of agriculture.”

The partnership is a commercial collaboration with long-term ecosystem relevance. It is designed to support a model of farming that helps rebuild soil health, improves the economics of smallholder farmers and strengthens India’s role in the wider movement towards regenerative agriculture.
