Evergreens, the fresh market, based in Pretoria and Kempton Park, was started in 1984 by the Pereira family as a Housewives Market in Springs. In October 1992, 20-years ago next month, Evergreens opened in Pretoria and their Kempton Park branch followed in 2019.
According to Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing, the largest exporter of South African apples and pears and a business wholly owned by its growers, Evergreens has long been a loyal Tru-Cape customer. “We are proud to be able to offer tastings and a promotional campaign with Evergreens in the next few weeks,” says Tru-Cape Managing Director, Roelf Pienaar.
There will be apple and pear tastings at Evergreens on Friday, September, 24 and Saturday, September 25 in Pretoria and Kempton Park, on Friday, October 1 in Pretoria and Saturday October 2 in Pretoria and Kempton Park and, on Sunday, October 3, in Kempton Park. Tru-Cape’s mascots will be there too.
