Farmers in South Korea will soon have better access to Case IH machinery, parts and service, following the appointment of SangJu as the newest dealer of the nationwide Case IH importer, Samjung CMC.
The announcement was made at an official ceremony held at SangJu’s premises in Sangju City. At the same event, Case IH also presented a new baler model, the RB545 fixed-chamber round baler that is available as a stand-alone machine or with an integrated wrapper on board.
With a long history of retailing and servicing agricultural machinery, SangJu will provide sales and service support for a wide-range of Case IH equipment in North Gyeongsang province. The business operates from purpose-built dealership facilities comprising a showroom, offices, workshop, parts department and storage. A well-resourced, modern agricultural machinery dealership, the company has made a large investment in the Case IH franchise and recruited new staff to support owners with a full sales, service and parts back up service.
To celebrate the occasion, Samjung CMC and SangJu arranged a six-day event showcasing the latest Case IH products available in South Korea as well as officially opening the new service centre built by SangJu for Case IH. Whilst complying with the national government’s recommendations on social distancing, no more than 100 people were present on any day of the event and proper procedures were followed to minimise contact between guests. Over the course of the six days, more than 350 people attended the event.
As a show of support for Samjung CMC, SangJu and Case IH, 12 existing customers brought their tractors to the event and allowed prospective customers to inspect the machinery and ask questions about its performance and other relevant features.
Mr Kim Sang Young, President of SangJu, gave a welcoming speech thanking everyone for their attendance, while congratulatory messages were given by Mr Jeong Jin Ho, Mr Yu Jea Hung and Mr Emre Karazli, CNH Industrial Business Director for Agricultural Equipment in South East Asia, Pakistan and Japan. Due to the global pandemic, Mr Karazli delivered his speech from CNH Industrial’s regional headquarters in Bangkok.
Of the appointment, Mr Karazli said, “We warmly welcome SangJu into the Case IH dealer family and wish them many years of prosperity with the Case IH brand.”
“With the appointment of SangJu we look forward to providing the benefits of Case IH machinery to even more customers in South Korea.”
Mr Jea-Heung Yu, President of Samjung CMC said, “We are delighted to welcome SangJu to our Case IH dealer network. This very well-known business has an excellent reputation which fits in well with our existing network and provides customers in North Gyeongsang with first-class sales and service facilities.”
One of the highlights of the event was the official launch of the RB545 round baler, the first baler offered by Case IH in South Korea. In stand-alone format, the RB545 is an excellent hay and straw baler, capable of making firm, well-formed bales which keep their shape during storage.
In Silage Pack format, the RB545 is equipped with an integral wrapper, turning the complete silage-making process into a one-man operation, saving precious time and money. Both the RB545 and RB545 Silage Pack are fitted as standard with a net wrap system to provide bales with a neat, secure and weatherproof finish that also ensures they retain their shape. “The Case IH range of premium high horsepower tractors, with the addition of the new Vestrum 120 CVX tractor and the RB545 baler, offers the perfect answer for the fast-developing mechanisation of South Korea’s agriculture,” Mr Karazli said.
